GATHERING AT HEARTLAND CHURCH

The people of God, the presence of God, and the Word of God.

Why do we gather?
What do we do when we gather?
The church is more than a gathering, but it is never less. God has always called His people to assemble in His name. Gathering isn't simply something the church does—it’s an essential part of what the church is. As God gathers His people, He reminds us that we have been called out of the world and into His kingdom. Together, we meet as the people of God in the presence of God to be transformed by the Word of God. His gathered people are then sent back out into the world to live as His kingdom representatives.
God has not left His church to determine for itself how He is to be worshiped. He is not only the object of our worship—He is its rightful author and director. Because His Word shapes and governs our gatherings, everything we do is centered on Scripture. We read the Word, sing the Word, pray the Word, preach the Word, and see the Word displayed in the ordinances. Through these ordinary means, God meets with His people, forms them into the likeness of Christ, and equips them for faithful living.

GOSPEL CENTERED
Christian worship is centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Every gathering  clearly and consistently exalts Christ and keep His saving work on the cross at the heart of all we say and do.
EXPOSITORY PREACHING
The biblical text sets the trajectory of every sermon, including its main point, structure and content, aiming to help the congregation respond to God through Christ and bear the fruit of the Spirit.
CORPORATE PARTICIPATION
The congregation is not made up of mere spectators but active participants. Everything we do in our gathering is corporate in nature and designed to foster meaningful, biblical engagement.
While we are thankful for technology and provide a livestream for those who are providentially hindered from attending in person, it is not intended to be a substitute for gathered worship. Our desire is to use technology to serve the church—not replace it.

FOR ALL AGES

A Place for Families

At Heartland Church, we believe parents are the primary disciple-makers of their children, and we count it a joy to partner with families in that calling. From our nursery to our student ministry, we provide opportunities where children and students can be taught God's Word, encouraged to follow Jesus, and connected to biblical community. Our desire is to come alongside parents as together we help the next generation know, love, and serve Christ.

Kids at Heartland

Students at Heartland

At Heartland Kids, we partner with parents to help children know, love, and follow Jesus. From birth through 5th grade, your child will experience a safe, welcoming environment where the Bible is taught faithfully and learning about Jesus is engaging and fun. Visiting for the first time? Look for the Kids Check-In area opposite the worship center, where our team will help you register your child, answer your questions, and welcome your family.
Our Student Ministry exists to help middle and high school students grow into lifelong followers of Jesus. Each Sunday at 8:45 AM, students gather before the worship service for a Community Group where they study God's Word, build meaningful friendships, pray for one another and the church, and are equipped to live faithfully for Christ at home, at school, and in the world.

NEXT STEPS

Go Beyond Sunday Mornings

The church is more than a gathering.  It’s a family to know, a community to belong to, and a mission to share. We want to help you take your next step—from connecting with our pastors, to discovering Heartland, to pursuing membership and fully embracing life together as the church.

Connect: Meet Our Pastors

Our pastors are available after every service to answer questions, hear your story, pray with you, or help you take your next step in following Christ. Find them near the front entrance each Sunday as you explore how you can further connect with our church family.

Consider: Discover Heartland

This short monthly gathering is designed to help you learn about our church’s purpose and ministries while meeting pastors, deacons, and staff. It’s a simple first step toward finding your place and becoming more connected to the life and mission of our church.

Covenant: Pursuing Membership

Our four-part membership class explores the biblical foundation of covenant membership, the purpose and doctrine of Heartland, and the privileges and responsibilities of belonging to a local church. Offered three times each year, it prepares you to thoughtfully join the Heartland family.
